Beyoncé Officially Joins Disney's Live-Action Remake Of 'The Lion King'
For the past several years, Disney has been adapting their most popular cartoons as live-action films. Personally, I've never understood this. I've never watched an animated film and thought, "This cartoon is good but you know what would make it really great? If it wasn't a cartoon." Seems like I'm in the minority with this opinion as these movies always make all the money. It's a trend we're going to have to get used to because along with Beauty and the Beast, Disney will also be running out Aladdin in 2019. Seems the Jungle Book success is leading them to basically do a full gauntlet of our childhood faves.
The Lion King remake is set to be released in 2019 and I figured it'd just be another movie that I wouldn't pay any attention to. Then the cast list was released and, you guys, I get it now. I get why these remakes are happening.
And I'm not the only one who feels that way. Everyone is stoked for this cast and for one person in particular.
Here is the official announcement.
There is one name sticking out to everyone.
What did we do to deserve such fortune?
Even the haters are singing a different tune.
Seriously, how could you hate these people?
I mean, sure, there are some problems.
And some are more valid than others.
But for the most part, people are ecstatic.
And it isn't just Beyonce people are excited for.
There are just some things you can't touch.
But for the most part everyone is only talking about one person.
There's actually a lot of things we have to be excited for.
