Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to declare Fulani herdsmen as terrorists. Armed Fulani herdsmen in the last couple of months have repeated attacked different Benu communities killing innocent people. Naija News reports that suspected herdsman last night attacked Tse-Chembe community near Anyiin in Logo Local Government Area killing some people and leaving many other injured. Reacting in a statement on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, Governor Samuel Ortom described Fulani herdsmen killing as unacceptable.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has charged the citizens not to lose hope in the face of insecurity and socio-economic crises in the land. Obasanjo spoke on Monday shortly after being conferred with the honourary Doctoral Degree of Science during the maiden convocation of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti.
