Some former members of the National Assembly from the South-West have rejected the calls for the resignation of the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Iyorchia Ayu. Naija News reports that the PDP South-West Forum of Former Parliamentarians made this known in a statement issued on Sunday by its Interim Coordinator, Yemi Arokodare.
The former lawmakers said Ayu’s resignation would further cause imbalance and instability within the PDP, which might affect the party in the 2023 general elections.
