Nightbirde, aka Jane Marczewski, touched viewers’ hearts on America’s Got Talent last year. The singer sadly passed away in February of this year after a battle with cancer. Recently, her family posthumously shared a song called “Fly.” The track is charting all over the world.

Nightbirde’s Family Releases Posthumous Song “Fly”

“Fly” is the first new Nightbirde release since her family shared a streaming version of her song “Brave” in May. The singer’s beautiful voice is backed by percussion on the uplifting track, which is available for fans to stream now.

“Not scared, not scared anymore / Like I used to be,” Nightbirde sings. “Open up my eyes and seeing / I’m not only wishing dreaming / I will fly.”

Since its release earlier this week, “Fly” has done extremely well. Nightbirde’s team posted on her Instagram account on Wednesday to announce, “’Fly’ is charting in over 10 countries and Jane has 4 songs in the top 100.”

“She would be so proud of this community of rebelliously hopeful humans that are ensuring her legacy lives on,” they added, before quoting one of Nightbirde’s blog posts from April 2021 called “If I Must Break.”

The Singer Is Simon Cowell’s Favorite Golden Buzzer

This week, America’s Got Talent aired a special episode in which judge Simon Cowell counted down his favorite Golden Buzzer acts in the show’s history. He put Nightbirde at the top of his list. Cowell and host Terry Crews got emotional watching her audition again.

Cowell hit the Golden Buzzer for Nightbirde, which sent her straight to the Season 16 live shows. However, for health reasons, she was unable to continue in the competition after her audition, although she chatted with the judges via video during the show.

In addition to streaming Nightbirde’s music, fans can donate to the Nightbirde Foundation, an organization which “brings hope and healing to young women with breast cancer.”
